Laughing Gas 

Nitrous oxide, often called “laughing gas,” is a safe and mild sedative used in dental offices to help patients feel relaxed and comfortable during procedures. It’s a colorless gas you breathe in through a small mask, and it works quickly to ease anxiety, making your visit feel more pleasant. You’ll stay awake, able to respond to your dentist, and the effects wear off soon after the mask is removed, so you can usually resume your day normally.

Please note, nitrous oxide isn’t suitable for everyone. Your dentist will review your medical history to ensure it’s a safe option for you. If you have certain conditions, like respiratory issues or pregnancy, or if you’re uncomfortable with sedation, other alternatives can be discussed to keep you at ease.
